Now that Halloween is over, it may be time to start thinking about Christmas. With Christmas right around the corner, The Pioneer Woman provides a list of “5 Christmas Inns That Have the Most Unbelievable Holiday Displays.” After spending the latter half of 2020 in quarantine, going on a holiday vacation may be just what is needed to get into the festive spirit.
The Inn at Christmas Place – Tennessee
Topping off the list is Pigeon Forge, Tennessee’s The Inn at Christmas Place. The Inn’s website asks guests to “join [them] in Celebrating the Spirit of Christmas Every Day of the Year™.” Notably, this is easy to do when the property is located across the parkway from The Incredible Christmas Place.
Consequently, due to the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic is still on-going, The Inn at Christmas Place has several health and safety precautions in place. In addition to social distancing and mandatory masks in all indoor public places, guests can expect to-go breakfast and limited capacity in the pools. Sadly, Santa concerts are on hold. However, Santa will visit at breakfast time on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Christmas Farm Inn and The Wentworth – New Hampshire
Without surprise, given the high probability of winter weather, two of the Christmas lodging options on The Pioneer Woman’s list are located in New Hampshire. The Christmas Farm Inn is located at 3 Blitzen Way in Jackson, New Hampshire. Also located in New Hampshire in Jackson Village is The Wentworth. Of note, these locations are less than a mile apart.
Some of the appeal of the Christmas Farm Inn is all of the things to do on the property. There is a restaurant and spa in the hotel, so guests can enjoy relaxing luxuries without having to worry about going too far. Other amenities include a heated pool and fitness center. However, if guests feel like adventuring, there are ski-ing, snowmobiles, and ice castles nearby.
The Christmas Farm Inn is the recipient of several prestigious accolades. Of note, are awards from Trip Advisor, The Knot, and Wedding Wire. The Christmas Farm Inn offers several packages. Seemingly some of the more popular packages are the Romance Package, the Girlfriend Getaway Package, and Elopements.
Just up the road, The Wentworth acknowledges the challenges this year has brought. However, it is apparent that The Wentworth has the health and safety of its guests in mind. Of note, they are limiting the number of guests. Unfortunately, The Wentworth also announces that there will not be Christmas Carolers this season. For more information on The Wentworth’s holiday packages, visit their website.
Round Barn Farm – Vermont
Still in the northeastern United States is Round Barn Farm. Located in Waitsfield, Vermont, Round Barn Farm’s holiday package seemingly brings all the comforts of a traditional home holiday in a beautiful barn. Some of the at-home touches guests can expect are a farm-to-table breakfast every morning, afternoon cookies and canapés in the library, and a cookie decorating class. The holiday package includes sleigh rides, tours, gift wrapping workshops.
Round Barn Farm is also showcasing “Intimate Winter Weddings” on their website. However, weddings are just one of the several packages Round Barn Farm offers its guests. Additionally, guests can experience skiing, snowboarding, and cross country skiing at nearby slopes. Seemingly, Round Barn Farm offers a variety of activities for visitors seeking a winter wonderland experience.
The Gaylord Palms – Florida
Heading back south to Orlando, Florida, where the tropical temperatures may make it a little bit more difficult to get into the holiday spirit, The Gaylord Palms is doing a popup called “I Love Christmas Movies.” Entertainingly, this event will feature replicated scents from Christmas favorites like Elf and The Polar Express. Some of the other festive activities guests can participate in include snow tubing, a light show, and a gingerbread decorating corner, to name a few.
The Christmas at Gaylord Palms popup begins November 13th and runs through January 3rd. In addition to all the activities above, there is also a Cirque Dreams Unwrapped show on the agenda. Additionally, guests of the “I Love Christmas Movies” popup can dine with Grinch. Notably, there is limited availability, and the Gaylord Palms recommends booking your stay now. Currently, guests can save up to 20% on their stay.
While 2020 hasn’t gone as many have planned, it is safe to say these Christmas-themed getaways have just what it takes to get anyone into the holiday spirit. These accommodations also provide for a romantic vacation or something more family-oriented. Check back with The Destination Seeker for more travel inspiration.
