Although it feels like fall is almost over, and you think you can smell snow, there are still three weeks until winter. That is more than enough time to celebrate and live life as if you were a Gilmore Girl. There are three weeks left of fall, and yes, Hanukkah and Christmas are on the horizon. Until then, there is still so much that can be done to honor the hit series, Gilmore Girls. Based in Stars Hollow, Connecticut, it revolved around mother-daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. They lived in a small town where everyone knew each other’s business and celebrated their big moments. Yet, they loved the seasons, especially ones that involved festivities, coffee, cocoa, and fun coats and scarves. If there was a festival to attend and be a part of, even better.

With fall coming down the wire, it is the perfect time to celebrate like a Gilmore. So, what are the best and easiest ways to do this? First off, the town is essential, and some that are similar to Stars Hollow are ones right in Connecticut. They helped to inspire what is seen on the show, and the core ones are New Milford and Washington Depot. In fact, that is where A Weekend In The Life is held once or twice a year. It is a weekend celebration where fans gather to recreate the hit series along with some of the cast.

So, if you can make it to Connecticut, those are great places to stop and stroll. Yet, if you can’t, there is also Woodstock, Vermont, but what if you are not up north? There are southern options, as well, such as Jonesborough, Tennessee, or you can head to Winters, California. These are sweet and small, which will replicate the beloved Gilmore Girls homestead.

Staycation, All I Ever Wanted

Yes, traveling to some of these places would be great for the ultimate Gilmore Girls fan. However, this is not always possible, and that is fine. Yet, living your best Gilmore fall should still be possible. So, what can be done, or what does one need to accomplish this goal? Coffee, snacks, food, a good movie, and some coziness.
